Cool Wedding App: Wedding Party
8:41 PMOne of our favorite parts of coming home after our honeymoon was looking at all of the pictures people took at the wedding. It was fun to see the perspective of all of the guests, and also interesting to see what they chose to capture. I really enjoyed those pictures, because while our photographer was busy capturing photos of us, our guests got some really sweet shots of the bridesmaids, our parents and our friends.
The only annoying part was trying to track down all of the pictures into one place. Even though Facebook is good for photo sharing, it can get hard tagging every single picture you take, and some slip through the cracks.
This is where the Wedding Party app comes in.
The app is super simple: either the bride or groom sets up the app for the wedding day via their computer. Then they tell their guests to download the app and sign in with their wedding name.
From the app, guests can see who is attending, post pictures, and post guest book entries in the form of status updates.
The best thing about it is that when guests use it on your wedding day, the app automatically arranges posts and pictures from the time they were taken, giving you a really awesome timeline of your day from your guests' perspectives. Very cool.
Bride or Groom: Start at the Wedding Party website. Here you will add all the information for your wedding. The site will generate an event name for you that you will share with your guests.
In step two, you upload a photo that all guests will see. I did have some trouble using the photo uploader, which didn't seem to work on either my iPhone or iPad, so at this point I had to switch to my computer.
And view guests
What do you think? Is this an app you would set up and have guests use?
