Lisa's Pink and Gold Bridal Shower

7:42 AM

Happy Monday everyone!
Sorry this is about a month behind, but I wanted to share pictures of Lisa's shower with you. We had a lovely time with her beautiful family and friends, ate some yummy food and sent Lisa away with some nice new additions to her kitchen collection :)

When I set out the planning process, I didn't really have a theme. I knew that I liked the pink and gold palette, and found a lot of inspiration for that. As I started putting everything together, the theme kind of morphed into me using a lot of hearts...because Lisa loves Kyle, and we love Lisa and Kyle, and what better theme for a shower than love?

Here are some pictures, the less beautiful ones from my phone, the more beautiful ones taken by my lovely friend Carly:

The venue before we set up (at night, almost in the dark, kinda scary!)

My husband and brother in law setting up my letter piñatas.

The banner I made for the (awesome!) barn door entrance

Pink and gold crepe paper fringe banner...so easy to DIY.

I made the table runners, a friend made the tablecloths. Each table had different fresh flower arrangements

Place setting with games and donut cookie favor

Letters over the dessert table.

Food table (quiche, donuts, mini muffins)

The donut cake. This takes A LOT of donuts, and to get it as high as you see it in other places, you really need foam, but I just didn't want people to have to worry about messing around with it to get a donut (because no one wants to work for donuts amiright....)

Some of the wonderful mini quiches

Food tables

Mimosas

Ribbon chandeliers as a backdrop for gift opening

I made a ribbon wall for another event about a year ago, and just took the ribbon from that and attached it to hanging plant baskets I found at the dollar store. Easy and cheap!

Instead of a traditional guest book, everyone painted a heart and signed their names on the canvas. I found this idea here and loved it. Love the whole shower actually.

My lovely friends with their game props

A word about the games...we played the "Who said it?" game, which was really cute. We also had a door prize game ("Who has the groom?") and played Shower Bingo with cards I designed.

All in all, it was a great day, and we finished it off that night with an awesome bachelorette party, thanks to the lovely Jaime and Elise.

(I was most worried about not having enough food/drinks. We had PLENTY).

That's it. Have a wonderful Monday!
