Happy April Flower's Day!

9:39 AM

April 1st. Some people like to think of Fools, but I prefer to think of Flowers. It's been a long, cold winter (especially here in Northeast Ohio), and Spring is *finally* in the air. My skin is just aching for sunshine, and my eyes are longing for beautiful pops of floral color.

It seems, therefore, to be the perfect day to write about flowers, and Spring flowers just happen to be some of my favorites. The following are some of the most popular choices for Spring weddings as well as some less seen flowers, like amaryllis and statice (which are just as beautiful and so unique!).
Poppies:
A beautiful choice for bouquets. Symbolic for remembrance, these flowers would be a nice touch for brides who want to honor a loved one.

Peonies & Ranunculus:
These have got to be some of the most gorgeous flowers. They're so billowy and romantic and perfect, it's no wonder they're some of the most popular choices for wedding bouquets.

Statice:
One of the first pops of color you'll see in Spring is the vibrant purple statice flower. These flowers make for a perfect rustic floral bouquet, dried or fresh!

Sweet Pea:
I love sweet pea because it is beautiful gathered on it's own with very little filler. It makes for a very romantic bouquet without being overwhelming.

Amaryllis:
Popular in the winter and Spring, amaryllis is a very showy flower. I think it makes for nice table arrangements, but would be beautiful added into a bouquet.

What are your favorites? If you were married in Spring, what flowers did you use?
Happy (almost) Spring!!
